Bali is an island for beach lovers. With so many stunning beaches all around the island, you could even spend your entire holiday visiting different beaches.
Come at 5.30pm to walk on ultra soft, black sand while the sky is turning from sky blue to orange to purple before the dark sky sets in.
Go to any beach on the west coast during the sunset and you will be greeted by purple sky. But if you have a limited time to explore them all and want to look for the best spectacle, Pantai Seminyak or Double Six beach could be the one you are looking for.
Located at North Kuta, just a few minutes from Kuta beach, I find this to be the best beach for sunset. To get here, follow along Jalan Legian to the north to Jalan Seminyak, then turn left to Jalan Camplung Tanduk.
The sky is not all that’s beautiful to see. Along the beach there are sand bars with colorful bean bags and umbrellas which complement the atmosphere. Many of them have either live music or house music recordings played rather loudly. So if you wish to sit down and chill, it might be a good idea to walk around and find the best spot to listen to the music you like without them interfering each other.
